David Peterson<\/b> has a degree in History from Oxford University and a Doctorate (2006)\u00a0in Medieval History from the Universidad de Burgos.<\/p>\n

His research centres on early medieval society in northern Iberia and is based mainly on written sources and onomastics.<\/p>\n

He is the author of two monographs on respectively, the Sierra de la Demanda (2006) and the Alto Ebro region (2009).<\/p>\n

While based at the Universidad del Pa\u00eds Vasco he was responsible for the development of the digital edition of the Becerro Galicano de San Mill\u00e1n de la Cogolla<\/em><\/a>, and currently concentrates his research on medieval documentation and on the onomastic evidence for Islamic influence on early medieval Castile.<\/p>\n
