He studied at the University of Cambridge in the Department of Anglo-Saxon, Norse and Celtic, and taught at King's College London before returning to his current position in Cambridge.<\/p>\n<p>Rory is interested in the history of England and its neighbours in Britain and Europe between the fifth and eleventh centuries.<\/p>\n<p>He has worked on a number of areas, many of them involving economic and social history.
